The aim of this blog is simply to record some of the walks that we take in and around Gaucin, Andalucia. The nearby Serrania de Ronda and Parque Natural de los Alcornocales offer wonderfully varied walking terrain from gently rolling hills to rugged mountains and there is a wealth of arquitectural, geological and natural history to discover.

Calle Piedras, Gaucin, 23 March 2014

A lovely short, but quite steep, walk along Camino de los Molinos, passing underneath Gaucin castle then climbing up the old footpath to join Calle Piedras in the village. Lots of butterflies around including Spanish Festoon and Wall Brown.
